Nothing But the Burger...

My buddy and I took a four day trip to Las Vegas in April. It was my first time being there, and it was our first day, so we were walking around to the different casinos and having drinks and gambling at each of the different places. When we walked into theMirage, we decided to have lunch at the BLT burger bar.

There were burger bars all over Las Vegas, and if you think about it, it’s a great idea. It’s the type of food that people will eat at all hours of the day. It can be made cheaply, and then sold for a large profit, so why wouldn’t they be all over the place? This one was super modern, and the menu was full of new interpretations of the age old American classic…the cheeseburger. I decided on the cowboy burger served with chipotle barbeque sauce, Tabasco onions, lettuce, bacon and pepper jack cheese and my friend and I split some waffle fries. 

The burger came out and I was hoping it tasted half as good as it looked. It was huge! The burger was seared perfectly and cooked exactly how I ordered it. The sweetness and tang of the barbeque sauce was perfect, and the crunch of the crispy onions and bacon left me in burger bliss. I devoured the entire thing and the fries too. They were crispy and hot, some really delicious waffle fries.

The BLT burger bar is an absolute home run. Their menu is fantastic and if you are into burgers, you don’t want to miss this one. Two and a half pints on this one. The burger was a little pricey, but the taste and texture were fantastic. The service was good and the atmosphere was pretty nice as well. The waffle fries were really a homerun for me, and if they had given us more of them it easily would have pushed them up to three pints.
