Andy's Diner
505 West Ridge Pike
Conshohocken, PA 19428
My
fiancé and I headed up to King of Prussia to register for wedding gifts, and we
were starving afterwards, so we stopped at a diner across the street from the
car wash we just went to. It was kind of a hybrid diner and pub called Andy’s.
We were seated as soon as we walked in which was nice because they place was
pretty packed. I was in the mood for some soup and a sandwich, so I convinced
my fiancé to each get the Matzo ball soup and split a turkey club.
The
soup came up right away, and I was glad to see it was piping hot. The broth was
very flavorful without being too salty. The matzo balls however were a little
crumbly. They didnt hold together well, especially once you began to try to cut
them. Luckily the flavor of them was pretty good, so the soup was a winner anyway. If the texture of the matzo balls had been better, it would have been a knockout soup.
The
turkey club was on point! They used turkey breast that seemed like it had been
roasted in house, and they didn’t skimp on it either. There was a ton of turkey
on this sandwich. The rye bread was toasted perfectly and it held the whole
sandwich together nicely. Crispy bacon is the most important part of a club
sandwich next to the meat ratio. If the bacon isn’t crispy, it can ruin the
whole sandwich. This bacon cracked loudly when bitten into, so you knew it was
cooked perfectly. The fries accompanying the sandwich were crispy and delicious
as well.
